Supporting Utah’s Future Caregivers and Responders
Utah Valley University’s College of Health and Public Service (CHPS) provides hands-on training and real-world experience that prepare students to serve during life’s most critical moments. As Utah Valley grows, the need for skilled healthcare professionals and first responders continues to rise. More than 80% of CHPS graduates remain in Utah after earning their degrees.
Watch how CHPS students and graduates serve Utah communities
Preparing future responders
Programs in emergency services, firefighter training, and the police academy give students immersive learning experiences led by professionals who have served in the field.
Changing lives through service
Students like Michael Milius discovered that caring for others requires more than technical skills. It requires understanding people, building trust, and meeting them where they are. His story reflects the mission of CHPS: preparing graduates who save lives while making meaningful human connections.
