Bequest of Insurance

Bequest of Insurance

After speaking with UVU's gift planning team, Marla and Wayne learned they could make a bequest of their life insurance policy simply by naming Utah Valley University as the beneficiary. This allowed them to commit to supporting UVU's future without giving up control of the policy during their lifetime.

Their future gift will establish a scholarship fund at UVU, helping students access education, pursue meaningful careers, and build better lives for themselves and their families. Through their thoughtful planning, Marla and Wayne are creating a legacy that will empower generations of Wolverines.

What is a charitable bequest?

A bequest is a gift you can make to support Utah Valley University's mission in your will, living trust or with a codicil.

Is a bequest of a life insurance policy right for you?

Creating a bequest of life insurance is an easy gift to establish. You can easily leave a life insurance policy to a nonprofit if the policy is no longer needed for its intended purposes by completing a beneficiary designation form. If you have questions about bequests of life insurance policies, please contact us. We would be happy to answer any questions that you have.
